Minor Course Syllabus
This module equips students with foundational knowledge in statistics, covering topics such as central tendency (Mean, Median, Mode and Geometric Mean), measures of dispersion (Range, Quartile Deviation and Standard Deviation), data collection methods and presentation techniques. Through practical exercises and real-world applications, students will learn how to collect, analyze and interpret data, presenting their findings using charts, graphs and other visual tools.
For effective understanding and application of the concepts, teachers can make use of case studies, role plays, seminar presentations, group discussions, mock interviews, business letter drafting and other appropriate practical methods.
Teachers can organize practical management activities such as planning exercises, team formation, leadership activities, decision-making exercises, delegation of work, problem-solving sessions, group discussions, and case studies to develop managerial skills among students.
